In 2025 I set myself the challenge of creating a miniature collage a day for the whole year. To create the collages I used printed paper from my overflowing box of print proofs. I took moments of inspiration from little moments which brought me joy... a blackbird hopping around my garden, an autumn sunset or toasting marshmallows on a campfire.
The idea of making an advent calendar with these collages arose when I started to notice pairs forming... Two images made days, weeks or months apart yet they felt like they belonged together.
This isn't a traditional wintery advent calendar, the Daily Collage Advent Calendar celebrates all the seasons. From sunny days and wildflowers, to hedgehogs in autumn leaves, I hope these little collaged images will help you embrace the colder days and look forward to the warmer ones ahead.
